What Is A Book Fair?

Scholastic Book Fairs works in partnership with your school to bring a special book sale that will excite you and students about the joy of reading!

In addition to offering the newest books and educational materials, a Book Fair raises funds that provide essential classroom resources and support important school projects. The fair is staffed entirely by school volunteers, usually under the direction of the librarian or PTA.

At a Scholastic Book Fair, teachers, parents, and kids can choose from the best and newest books from more than 150 publishers. You'll find:

  • Paperback editions of the books kids want to read
  • Hardcover books that make wonderful gifts
  • Educational, skill-building software that's fun
  • Popular series for all ages and reading levels
  • Interactive products from Tangerine Press™ that combine play & learning
  • Kids Are Authors Prize Winners — books written by kids for kids and published by Scholastic Inc.
