Grow your classroom library and get children excited about reading at the same time! Here's how:
Preview
the Fair — Schedule time to preview the fair and
create your Wish List of books you would like donated to your
classroom library. If your Chairperson is using the Book
Wish Cards (PDF From)
on the Classroom Wish List display, you can mark your book
selections directly on each card or use the Classroom
Wish List Form (PDF From).
Display
Your Wish List — Give your Chairperson your Wish
List. Many Chairpersons set up a colorful Classroom Wish List
display at the Fair to encourage donations. They will make
sure that parents can find your Wish List easily. For parents
who may not attend the fair, send home a Book
Wish Gift Certificate (PDF) attached to your parent
letter (RTF).
Share
Your Wish List — Include your Wish List in your class
newsletter, in special notes to parents, or on your classroom
homepage.
Your Wishes
Come True — Students and parents purchase the books found
on your Wish List while shopping at the Book Fair. The donated
books are delivered right to you, each with a special bookplate
to show who made the donation.
Show
your appreciation — With a special Thank-You
Note (PDF) to students and families for their generous
gifts.
