OFFICIAL RULES

CONTEST: The Class Homepage Builder / Shutterfly Winning Tips Contest ("Contest").

SPONSOR: Scholastic Inc., 557 Broadway, New York, NY 10012

ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open only to educators who are registered on Scholastic.com’s Class Homepage Builder at the time of entry and who are at least 18 years of age and legally residing in the United States. Class Homepage Builder registration can be completed at http://homepage.scholastic.com/CHBuilderWeb/jsp/TeachersLogin.jsp. Employees of Sponsor and its affiliates and their respective advertising, promotion and production agencies, their immediate families and those living in their households are not eligible to enter. Void where prohibited by law. Subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY: To enter the Contest, email your tips to Classhomepage@scholsatic.com. Along with the tip, please include your class homepage user name, password and email address. Emailing your tip will automatically enter you in the Contest. These are the only means of entry. NO OTHER METHOD OF ENTRY WILL BE ACCEPTED. The Contest will be conducted in nine rounds between December 6th, 2007, and April 1st, 2009. Each round of the Contest shall begin at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (United States) on the applicable start date and shall end at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (United States) on the applicable end date. The start and end dates of each round are as follows: Round 1 - December 6th, 2007/December 31st, 2007; Round 2 - February 1st, 2008/February 29th, 2008; Round 3 - April 1st, 2008/April 30th, 2008; Round 4 - June 1st, 2008/June 30th, 2008; Round 5 - August 1st, 2008/August 31st, 2008; Round 6 - September 1st, 2008/September 31st, 2008; Round 7 - December 1st, 2008 /December 31st, 2008; Round 8 - February 1st, 2009/February 28th, 2009; Round 9 - April 1st, 2007/April 30th, 2009. Entries shall only be valid for the round of the Contest in which they are submitted. You may email Classhomepage@scholastic.com as many times as you wish, but you will only be eligible to receive one prize in the Contest. All entries become the exclusive property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor and its agencies shall not be liable for (a) telephone, electronic, program, network, Internet, or computer delays, deletions, interruptions or other failures of any kind; (b) late, lost, damaged, failed, misdirected, incomplete, garbled, unintelligible, or delayed computer messages; or (c) any human error that may occur in the processing of any entry, nor are they responsible for any theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, whether caused by the sender or any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Contest. Proof of sending email does not constitute proof of delivery.

PRIZES: Five winning entries will be selected by Sponsor on a rolling basis from all eligible entries in each round of the Contest, for a total of 45 winning entries. Up to five of the winning entries in each round will be selected from among those entrants whose entries include a tip describing on how to use the class homepage to better communicate with parents and students, or how they would use a camera in their classroom. Each winner will receive Panasonic LUMIX Digital Camera, approximate value of $200. The aggregate approximate retail value for the entire promotion is $9,000. No substitution or transfer of prizes is permitted by the winners. Prizes are non-returnable and cannot be sold or redeemed for cash. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Winners are responsible for payment of all federal, state or other tax liabilities (including income taxes) on any prize received. Only one prize per winning entry. Only one prize per Class Homepage winning user for the entire Contest.

Winning entries will be selected on the basis of clarity, creativity, topic relevance, and usefulness for the class homepage builder educational community. Winners will be notified after each round by email, postal mail or telephone using the contact information provided to Sponsor in connection with Educator Registration on www.scholastic.com. Prizes will be sent to the mailing addresses provided by winners in connection with such registration.

In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of a person submitting a post on the Contest Boards, the entry will be deemed to be submitted by the Authorized Account Holder of the e-mail address at the time of posting. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

Winners selected from among entrants who submit photographs with their entries will be required to complete, sign and return a notarized release permitting Sponsor to use the photographs submitted, as well as signed releases from all persons depicted in such photographs; failure to do so within ten (10) days of receipt of such release(s) will result in disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner.

PRIZE DRAWING: The winners of the Contest will be determined by a selection conducted on the following Friday after the rounds have been completed, occurring on : January 4th, 2008, March 7th, 2008, May 2nd, 2008, July 4th, 2008, September 5th, 2008, October 3rd, 2008, January 2nd, 2009, March 6th, 2009, May 1st, 2009. Winners will be notified via email on these dates. Winners will have fourteen (14) days from notification to accept the prize by e-mail. Sponsor and its agencies shall not be liable for unsuccessful efforts to notify a winner. If a winner does not respond to notification of winner status within fourteen (14) days from notification, or if the winner does not meet qualification criteria, Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate winner.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: If the administration or integrity of the Contest is compromised or corrupted at any time, the Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend or cancel the Contest. Sponsor and its agencies shall not be liable for any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from entering the Contest. Entrants agree that the decisions of Sponsor related to this Contest are final. By entering the Contest, entrants agree to abide by these rules and to release and hold Sponsor and its agencies harmless from and against any and all damages and claims of any kind in connection with the Contest or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of any prize. Except where prohibited, all entrants agree and consent to the use their names, addresses (city and state only), likeness and/or entry by Sponsor in any and all media for any and all lawful purposes, whether advertising, promotion or trade, including without limitation online and in print, in perpetuity without further notice or compensation. By entering the Contest, entrants affirm that they have read and accepted these Official Rules. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Contest will be ineligible for prizes.

WINNERS' LIST: Winners’ lists will be available after the completion of the Contest. To obtain a list of the name(s) of the Contest winner(s), send a request, along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Scholastic Inc., Class Homepage Builder / Shutterfly Winning Ideas Contest, 557 Broadway, New York, NY 10012 (Attn: Beth Grad). Requests must be received before May 31, 2009.
