Tips from Teachers

Eye into the Classroom
Submitted by: Stephanie M.
“For every unit of study in my class I post photos of classroom activities we’ve done together. Last month we built a long house to study how Native Americans lived before the Pilgrims arrived. The class had such fun pretending to live in the long house, and they loved showing their parents all the photos on my homepage of the fun things they learned.”
Student of the Week
Submitted by: Richard B.
“Every other week we have a student of the week, recognizing students who have put in extra effort into their work. I highlight them in the Class News section of my homepage by posting a mini-bio of the student. The last student of the week interviews them on their favorite subjects, hobbies, etc. and writes up a little bio which I post. If their parents have approved, I also post of photo of them holding current their week’s work. Students love to go home and show their parents!”
