A Water Survey

Every day, people in the United States use an average of 70 gallons of water each. Ask students to find out how much water each person in their family uses? Students should think of a way to measure each kind of water use listed and have family members complete the chart to show water use. (Use the back of the paper for more space.) When students bring in their completed charts, start a discussion about ways they can think of to conserve water for each category.
