Over, Under, and Around. Explore spatial relations with an outdoor obstacle course. Children can go under the bridge, across the path, over the table, and around the tree.Pattern Hoops. Set out a row of hoops and let children dance through them, following a pattern and making a specific movement inside each hoop -- hop, jump, hop!
In-and-Out Dance. Children can explore spatial relations as they dance inside and outside a circle taped on the floor or ground.
Child Graphs. Make bar graphs -- using children! They can stand in lines -- depending on how they voted, what color they're wearing, or their favorite food -- and then see which is longest.
