Activity 6 — Adding New Scenes

Teacher's Notes

In the theater, a scene is most often the place where an action or event takes place.

My character Clem the Watch may start in a jewelry store in Naples, Florida. Then, because someone buys him, he moves to a ranch in Colorado. There he becomes very valuable and eventually moves to Puerto Rico where he lives happily ever after.

Examine your play and find two places where you can create two new scenes. Add your scenes, and remember to have your characters adjust to their new habitat.
