FASTT Math and the Common Core State Standards
The Common Core State Standards call for ALL students to be fast and accurate with math facts in all four operations by the end of Grade 3. Students are also expected to develop number sense by understanding relationships between numbers within operations. By developing these fluencies, students can then successfully focus on higher level math skills.
FASTT Math provides the most efficient, personalized path to fact fluency for every student. And now, FASTT Math Next Generation is the only fact fluency program to extend beyond math fact fluency practice into more rigorous Common Core objectives.

How FASTT Math Supports the Standards
Importance of UnderstandingThe CCSS expect students to understand place value for single and multi-digit operations with whole numbers and decimals. |
FASTT Math Promotes Conceptual Understanding
|
Importance of Visual RepresentationThe CCSS expect students to understand the meaning of multiplication and division through activities that make use of visual models, such as arrays. The CCSS also emphasize that students on the path to college and career readiness should look for and recognize the structure and patterns of mathematics. |
FASTT Math’s Adaptive Software Utilizes Visual Instruction
|
Progressive Foundational DevelopmentThe CCSS call for students to develop an understanding of fractions as numbers, extending to equivalence, ordering, and operations with fractions. |

Focus on Strategies to Solve ProblemsThe CCSS expect students to solve real-life and mathematical problems using numerical expressions. Students’ understanding of arithmetic should extend to algebraic expressions. Students should also be able to generate equivalent expressions and understand connections between proportional relationships. |
