Favorite Character Trading Cards Activity
- Gather and share a variety of trading cards with your students.
- Discuss the information found on the cards, then encourage children to create their own for their favorite book characters.
- Provide each child with a copy of this character card, (PDF file) and help them fill in the blanks and draw and color a favorite character.
- Then, play a game in which a child reads the character's information and the class guesses the character.
Exchanging and sharing these character cards in small groups is a great way to encourage small-group discussion.
