Beat the Summer Reading Slump with BookFlix!

BookFLix Site
Summer is approaching—now is the perfect time to start thinking about how to incorporate BookFlix into your summer reading program. BookFlix is a great way to keep your students and patrons reading and learning throughout the summer months.
  • Use the pair Wild About Books and Welcome to the Library to promote reading and visiting the public library during summer vacation.

  • List the different genres of books you have read as a group over the year. What books did your kids favor? Recommend similar books on their summer reading list.

  • Have your students or patrons write and illustrate their own book about something they are excited to do over the summer.

  • If you are a teacher or school librarian, take a trip to the local public library and help students obtain library cards. Familiarize students with the different areas of the library and proper library behavior.
Since all subscriptions include remote (home) access, schools can include BookFlix pairs on their summer reading lists. Use BookFlix to help your students and patrons beat the summer reading slump!
