Momentum Libraries were developed to make the most of independent reading time in the classroom. They work seamlessly with your instructional program, providing an enjoyable yet structured framework of leveled text and support materials that build reading, writing, and word skills, and move readers forward along the road to reading success. Momentum gives you the opportunity to:

• Match students with appropriately leveled books. Titles are carefully leveled for grades 1-6.
• Generate interest and excitement about choosing books that feature popular, fun topics with curriculum connections.
• Offer a diverse selection of fiction and nonfiction titles in a wide range of genres, including multicultural stories and characters.
• Support paired reading. There are two copies of each Momentum title to build reading fluency.
• Monitor progress with reproducible activity sheets for every title in the collection to build comprehension and word study/vocabulary strategies.

Components Each Grade-Level Library Includes: 72 Unique Books (18 fiction and 18 nonfiction titles; 2 copies each) Teacher's Guide — including easy-to-use guidelines for managing the classroom independent reading program, matching books to readers, and more. Reproducible Activity Sheets for each title in the Library to build skills and strategies. Storage/Display Case — with books facing forward to invite eager readers! Poster — to help students choose a "just right" book.
