By presenting a trio of similar texts, Triple Treat allows your youngest readers and writers to become familiar with the alphabet, print features, vocabulary, and language patterns so that they can develop reading and writing confidence and fluency. Triple Treat provides the support and familiarity to allow students to experience success—and enjoyment—as they learn to read.

Triple Treat is created for emerging readers in PreK through
Grade 1.
Triple Treat uses whole group, small group and independent reading with familiar texts to help emerging readers develop reading comprehension and literacy skills.
Triple Treat includes a variety of themes in each trio. The topics covered are:

By using familiar texts and common themes, students become more comfortable with reading on their own. Each concept is introduced by the teacher using Big Books, and students proceed to reading small books on their own or in a small group.
Each Triple Treat Trio comes with Writing Books that remind students about the concepts they covered in their readings. They are able to write their own story, keeping with the theme of the trio. Word lists are provided in each Writing Book to help guide students.
