Research has consistently shown that family and community engagement is a strong indicator of a child's academic success. As districts move to adopt the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), it is increasingly clear that FACE policy and practice needs to be a part of this larger reform. Scholastic's FACE platform offers a suite of unique solutions that extend literacy support beyond the classroom and into the homes, families, and communities of all young people. FACE focuses on five key pillars of engagement, and each pillar aligns in spirit and substance to the goals in the CCSS.
