Online Narrative Tool Available to Help Develop Children’s Storytelling Skills
PBS Kids has created an online narrative tool for preschoolers to support the development of storytelling and literacy skills. Dot’s Story Factory helps children learn that stories have a clear structure. They can build their own stories by drawing, using graphic stickers, typing text, and uploading photos. Pre-K Now Advocates for High Quality, Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten for All Children
Pre-K Now collaborates with advocates and policymakers to push for high quality, voluntary pre-kindergarten for all three and four year olds. Jumpstart launches Read for the Record Annual Campaign
Jumpstart focuses on helping children gain language and literacy skills. Read for the Record brings national attention to the importance of reading at an early age. It organizes the world’s largest shared reading experience. This year’s event will take place on October 2nd, and will feature the children’s classic, Corduroy. Across the country, thousands of reading events will be organized. Corduroy will be distributed to schools, early education centers, teachers, and education partners.
