Students apply their newly acquired skills in the Success Strand. Before attacking text, students watch a 44-second anchor video to help them build background knowledge and create mental models of text. Building upon the skills learned in each lesson, students are provided with an opportunity to instructional level connected text. These passages are accompanied by multiple scaffolds.
