As a researcher and classroom educator, I understand the challenges of teaching reading to students who are very different in their reading behaviors and the level of text that they can process with fluency, ease, and comprehension. The Guided Reading Programs represented on this site are developed to teach the widest range of reading abilities. Each program in the series contains the best children's books and comprehensive instructional plans. The books are carefully leveled to meet the rigorous standards of Guided Reading. Each level supports small group instruction for students who are alike in their abilities. I am pleased to announce that our Guided Reading series continues to expand and now includes two new programs. Guided Reading Content Areas provides you with a means of teaching reading while reinforcing essential science, social studies, and mathematics standards! Many K–3 classrooms struggle to find enough instructional time to teach reading, language, and literacy skills as well as develop students' content area knowledge. This new program answers your needs to address both issues. The second program is Guided Reading en español.
This program is a series of leveled beloved and new children's books
in Spanish. Each book is accompanied by a bilingual instructional
plan as well as ESL strategies. The program helps ensure equity
of instruction for all levels of English-language proficiency in
