Every district wants to help all of its students reach their full potential and become successful members of the workforce and their community. But despite the hard work of teachers and administrators, districts are increasingly concerned about the lack of growth in student performance.

Not all students come to school motivationally ready and able to learn every day. Many students face barriers that interfere with their ability to be physically or mentally present, and these barriers prevent them from benefiting from quality instruction.

To help all students succeed, districts must transform fragmented services into a fully integrated continuum of supports that, when integrated with instruction and leadership, create a more comprehensive organization

Educators want to help all students reach their full potential and become successful members of community and workforce. Despite the hard work of teachers and administrators, educators are increasingly concerned about the lack of growth in student performance. At Scholastic, we understand that not all students come to school every day motivationally ready and able to learn. Many students encounter barriers that interfere with their ability to be physically, emotionally or mentally present, and these barriers inhibit a student’s ability to benefit from quality instruction.

Scholastic is committed to helping districts and schools design and implement comprehensive partnerships with families and communities that provide the supports necessary for students to successfully navigate the barriers they encounter. Through these partnerships families and communities can work in tandem with educators to support student learning.

Learning Supports Services

Through our partnership with Dr. Howard Adelman and Dr. Linda Taylor, Scholastic has developed a process for helping districts unite disparate support services into an organized continuum of care. Not only does the Learning Supports Framework provide an explanation of the problem, it offers a roadmap for schools to partner with families and communities to implement a comprehensive system of supports to ensure all students have the opportunity to benefit from high-quality instruction.

Scholastic’s team of specialists can help you navigate a pathway of continuous improvement to build a shared vision, assess current practices, provide foundational training, assist with the implementation of a comprehensive strategy, and monitor your success.
