About Leveling
|

|
|
Scholastic has provided this leveling
resource to help you align our leveled and guided reading materials
to your existing reading program. It is our goal to help you match
your readers to the appropriate text for successful growth in
reading.
Educators often use multiple leveling systems when matching books
to readers. The Scholastic products found in this catalog have
been leveled for your convenience and ease-of-use, whether you
need to select the "just-right" level of text for your
students or when creating, building, or enhancing your classroom
library.
Levels represented on the chart to the right
have been broadly aligned with grades K–6 according to the recommendations
of our renowned reading experts and professional educators. The
chart will help you to quickly review Scholastic's range of recommended
levels for each grade. Now you can evaluate the needs of your
students and select from motivating books that will realistically
meet the instructional need of ALL of your readers at any level.
