The Student mSpace
Students have a place to record and share their work, thoughts, and mathematical understandings with the mSpace—two student books designed to promote active participation and extend critical practice with the Next Generation performance tasks.
As you flip through the mSpace, look for:
- Do Nows that encourage thinking, develop the Standards for Mathematical Practice, and make connections between topics
- Various lesson types that provide scaffolded practice with worked examples, opportunities to construct viable arguments through partnered work, and problem solving through the use of visual models and metacognitive connections
- Embedded Formative Assessment with Exit Tickets that require students to justify their reasoning in writing
- Scaffolded Practice with solving multistep problems and performance tasks that help prepare students for the Next Generation Assessments
