The READ 180 Student Diagnostic Report provides information on student strengths and weaknesses in specific areas to help teachers differentiate instruction to meet individual needs. The READ 180 Student Diagnostic Report provides very specific information based on Software activity involving essential comprehension skills, vocabulary, word recognition, spelling, and reading fluency.
Here are two suggested ways to use the diagnostic data:
- To learn about a student's proficiency in general or in preparation for a student conference, print the report to identify strengths and weaknesses in each skill area.
- To investigate a low score observed on other READ 180 reports, use the report to get more specific information about the problem. For example, if you noticed on a group report such as the Reading Progress Report that a student had a 50% comprehension score, you could go to the Student Diagnostic Report to see the student's performance record in each individual comprehension skill to diagnose the specific problem.
Accessing the Student Diagnostic Report is easy, simply check off the name of the students you wish to evaluate and click the Reports button in the Scholastic Management Suite.
