Getting started is easy as 1-2-3.
Follow these simple steps to ensure a successful start with READ 180. |
- Open your READ 180 QuickStart Kit. There you will find many tools to help you set up your classroom. Refer to the Component Map to get to know all of the pieces of READ 180. Watch the Implementation DVD to find out how to organize and use all of the components.
- Check that the READ 180 Software is installed. Then add your students to SAM (the Scholastic Achievement Manager) and enroll them in SRI, READ 180, and Scholastic Reading Counts! Make sure to also adjust program settings in SRI to target students’ estimated reading levels and in READ 180 to enable language support as needed.
- Introduce READ 180 to your students. Show the Implementation DVD chapter to students. Use the posters from the QuickStart Kit to go over the Instructional Model and to get students excited about the Topic Software, Paperbacks, and Audiobooks. Then have students preview the Topic Software using the demo disc.
