The 90-Minute Instructional Model
The research is clear: We must invest sufficient time for instruction for students who are at risk of failure. Studies have conclusively shown that when schools implement and follow the 90-Minute Instructional Model, significant gains can be expected after one to two years of program participation.

There is flexibility in how the 90-Minute Instruction Model can be applied. Scholastic will work with you to devise a model that assures best results. Some alternative schedules include:

• Consecutive 45- or 50-minute class periods
• Non-consecutive 45- or 50-minute class periods
• 45- or 50-minute class periods, plus computer lab for after school
• After school and in summer school
