Students personally choose up to three topics of interest to generate a customized reading list
Elementary, middle, and high school students select from different screens with appropriate topic choices. The Recommended Reading Report not only lists books that students will find interesting, but is automatically populated with books in their Lexile level range.

Meaningful practice builds students' confidence and leads to success on software-generated comprehension quizzes
After independently reading a book, students log on to the computer and take a Scholastic Reading Counts! quiz. They demonstrate completion and comprehension of the book by correctly answering multiple-choice questions. In the process, the quizzes provide students with standardized test practice. Quiz Screen
