Elementary, middle, and high school students select from different screens with appropriate topic choices. The Recommended Reading Report not only lists books that students will find interesting, but is automatically populated with books in their Lexile level range.

After independently reading a book, students log on to the computer and take a Scholastic Reading Counts! quiz. They demonstrate completion and comprehension of the book by correctly answering multiple-choice questions. In the process, the quizzes provide students with standardized test practice.

High-interest, age-appropriate, personalized congratulations screens pop up when students successfully complete a quiz.

After taking a quiz, students can immediately track their own progress toward reading goals and view an up-to-date report on their achievements.

Students not only have a chance to express their opinion with Scholastic Reading Counts!, but they can use Read-O-Meter results to inform their future reading choices.
