There are 4 Levels of Scholastic Research:
The Highest Level of Proof
Reports at this level include the most rigorous form of research. The quality of these reports is as high as that expected of a thesis. Effectiveness Reports must include a full description of the program implementation and the data analysis.
A Program’s Alignment to Particular Initiatives or Educational Challenges
Reports at this level must include a strong body of references that are embedded within the document. Generally these reports will include a template that aligns the research to other important initiatives.
The Theory Behind the Research
Reports at this level may vary a bit in their structure. Generally these reports will reference an expert in the field or an author of the program who explains the theory behind a program, or the program itself.
Real-life Examples of a Program’s Effect on Specific Student Populations or Geographic Regions
Reports at this level are designed to provide teachers and administrators with information on specific populations or regions of the country that have used the program.
