FAMILY & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT:

Early Literacy

Early literacy skills are indicative of later academic success, and the better a child’s early literacy skills, the better equipped he or she is to learn upon entering school. The achievement gap starts early which is why we have developed FACE programs that support early literacy including:

READ & RISE:

The Read & Rise program provides families with hands-on strategies for building literacy at home, reinforces the fact that parents are their child's first and most important teachers, and builds text-rich environments at home by providing take-home books and other parent resources for families who participate in the program.

Board Books

High-quality, developmentally appropriate board books include parent reading tips and are ideal for the youngest readers.
