Gallagher is Associate Professor of English and Coordinator of Composition at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he teaches undergraduate, pre-service, and graduate courses in writing, teaching writing, rhetoric, and literacy. Richard Gentry Richard Gentry earned his Elementary Education degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and a Ph.D. in Reading Education from the University of Virginia in 1977. For 16 years, he taught Reading Education at Western Carolina University, where he directed the Reading Center. He is well known for his research and writing in literacy education and is currently an independent researcher, author, and educational consultant. Mary Godley-Sugrue Mary Godley-Sugrue is certified in early elementary and secondary education. She has taught elementary and high school students, and tutored college students in English and English as a Second Language. She earned her B.A. in English from Loyola University, and her Masters in English, Compostion Track from Northeastern Illinois University. Currently, she tutors students in reading and writing as well as preparing high school students for English portions of college entrance exams. She resides in Chicago with her spouse and children. Cathleen Greenwood Cathleen Foster Greenwood is a published writer, teacher, and veteran presenter at professional conferences in teaching and writing. Her students have won awards and recognition, and have published writing in a variety of magazines and journals. In addition to her book for young adults, So, You Wanna Be A Writer? Cathy has published poems, short stories, and essays in The Vineyard Gazette, English Journal (NCTE), English Record and Monograph (NYSEC), and AIM magazine. She received the PBS Channel 13 “Telly” Award, the New York State English Council’s Educator of Excellence Award, Honorable Mention in Poetry from English Journal, and O’Rourke Prize for Distinguished Achievement in Curriculum Design (Grant Wiggins). Professionally active, Cathy is Regional Representative for the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) and is on the executive board of the New York State English Council and Westchester Council of English Educators.
