In the Classroom Instruction in the Scholastic Early Childhood Program is centered around three learning areas: Circle Time, Story Time, and Learning Centers. The theme-based Teacher’s Guide provide daily lessons for each area to balance purposeful-play with teacher-directed instruction.

Learning Together
in Circle Time
Circle Time brings the class together for fun and oral language
learning during small- and large-group throughout the day. Activities–such
as shared reading, singing songs, listening to poetry, reciting
rhymes and chants–help children develop:
- oral language
- phonological awareness
- math skills
