In the Classroom Instruction in the Scholastic Early Childhood Program is centered around three learning areas: Circle Time, Story Time, and Learning Centers. The theme-based Teacher’s Guide provide daily lessons for each area to balance purposeful-play with teacher-directed instruction.

Exploring in Learning Centers
Learning Centers provide children with hands-on learning activities to explore at their own pace. The purposeful play that occurs during Learning Centers promotes:
- Literacy
- Hands-on learning in content areas
- Open-ended inquiries
- Independent practice in skills and concepts
