Background
Microsoft Settlement Vouchers will soon be available to North Carolina Public Schools that serve students from low income households. The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction estimates that approximately 1,000 schools, just under half of all K-12 schools in North Carolina, will be eligible to receive assistance. This represents nearly 45% of all North Carolina students.
The amount of vouchers issued to schools will be 50% of the difference between $89 million and the value of the vouchers that are issued to Class Members. North Carolina public school districts will be entitled to purchase a broad range of hardware products, software, and professional development services.
The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction has not yet released the terms of the voucher program; no applications, procedures, or requirements are available at this time. Click here to find more information about the North Carolina Microsoft Settlement Program.
