| Q1: | What software and hardware is required to use TrueFlix? |
| A1: | The following technical specifications are required to implement TrueFlix in a school or public library:
Optimal viewing of TrueFlix streaming video and animations requires a T1 connection or higher at building level (minimum) and Macromedia Flash Player 9.0 or higher (this is a free download at www.adobe.com). For PC: We recommend at minimum a Pentium II processor or higher with 128 MB of RAM with Windows 98, Windows 2000, or Windows XP operating system. We recommend using the following browsers: Internet Explorer 6.0 (7.0 for Windows XP) and Firefox 2.x or higher. We also recommend using a 15-inch monitor with the resolution set at 1024 x 768 for best viewing (will operate fine at 800 x 600) with high 16-bit colors or higher selected. Also, either a PowerPC® G3 500MHz or faster processor or an Intel CoreTM Duo1.83GHz or faster processor. For Mac: We recommend running Macintosh OS X with the following browsers: Safari 1.4 or higher and Firefox 2.x or higher (Firefox 3 requires OS X 10.4 or higher) and is best displayed on a 15-inch monitor with the resolution set at 1024 x 768 (will operate fine at 800 x 600) with "thousands of colors" selected. Also, either a PowerPC® G3 500MHz or faster processor or an Intel CoreTM Duo1.83GHz or faster processor. TrueFlix includes numerous audio features and therefore requires speakers or headsets. |

| Q8: | How many TrueFlix videos can be watched simultaneously? | |||||||||||||||
| A8: | TrueFlix delivers videos and other content over the Internet. The number of videos that can be watched by a user simultaneously depends on many factors, including connection speed, the amount of other activity that is taking place on a school or library's computer network at a given time, and whether a school or library has a dedicated Internet connection or shares with other schools or libraries. The following guidelines should be used to determine how many TrueFlix videos can be streamed simultaneously, and what implementation options for TrueFlix are most appropriate.
