Thomas J. Klubertanz, 2001
State Teacher of the Year, Wisconsin
Tom Klubertanz is proud to represent Wisconsin — a state he has lived in for all of his 31 years. Tom graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a BS in both Speech and Theatre Education. Tom currently teaches at Wauwatosa West High School in Milwaukee, and has been the Director of Theatre for West for the past six years. He works to create a passion in his students for the importance of theatre in their lives, and on the role of communication in the development of a healthy self. Tom is also a teacher who practices what he preaches, as he is a professional actor appearing in equity productions throughout the city of Milwaukee and surrounding area. Tom was recently engaged, and plans to be married in the year 2002. (It has been quite a year!!) Tom looks forward to serving the State of Wisconsin as Teacher of the Year.
