State Teacher of the Year, Wyoming
Wyoming's Teacher of the Year is Cindy Gulisano, a 5th grade teacher at Lingle/Fort Laramie Elementary in Lingle, Wyoming. This is her 16th year as an educator having taught kindergarten, second, and fifth grades. She has worked extensively in her district to write curriculum standards and assessments that align with state and national standards. She is the building coordinator for her district's School-to-Careers partnership and has presented several workshops on the Microsociety that she implemented in her classroom six years ago. Cindy is also a member of the Curriculum Coordinating Council, which advises the school board about new curriculum and curricular changes. She teaches summer school, is an after-school tutor and is a mentor teacher for another fifth grade teacher in the district.
