ReadAbout: Improving Nonfiction Reading Comprehension
Grades 3–8
This course examines why many students struggle with reading after fourth grade and models strategies to effectively implement and manage ReadAbout to help students jump the new Fourth-Grade Slump.


Teachers will learn how to:
  • Provide explicit reading and writing instruction to help students improve comprehension of nonfiction texts.
  • Implement ReadAbout successfully in their classrooms.
  • Use report data and informal assessments to monitor progress and differentiate instruction.
