Afghan Kids Answer Your Questions

Rahaila was a refugee in Pakistan. She and her family of eight people returned to their home in Kabul this year.

When do you start school?

Answer: I started school in Kabul in September this year. At first it was terrible. All my classmates called me 'Pakistan' because I wore the punjabi [a suit that is the traditional dress in Pakistan]. I finally got my parents to get me new clothes made in Afghanistan so people would stop making fun of me. But they are still mean to those of us who have returned from Pakistan. They think they are better just because they stayed here during the Taliban and the wars.
