Kulsum's name means purity in Pushto. She is the middle child, with two older sisters and a younger brother. Her family raises cattle and sheep. They make panir (cheese) from the milk and sell it in Jalalabad. Sometimes she gets to go to market in Jalalabad with her father.What do you like to do for fun? Answer:
"In the summer I like to play in the stream with my friends. We have water fights and races. We also have a swing over the stream we can jump off. It is a lot of fun. In the winter it is too cold to play outside and it is very boring."
