Age: 70
State: Connecticut
Current Job: Consumer advocate
Strengths: Ralph Nader believes that the U.S. should withdraw from Iraq, which could appeal to Americans who share the same opinion. Nader is also one of the world's most well-known consumer advocates. He has called attention to issues such as health and safety.
Weaknesses: Many people accuse Nader of costing Al Gore the 2000 presidential election. By running an aggressive third-party campaign, he took votes that would more than likely have gone to Gore. The Nader candidacy especially hurt in Florida, where Gore lost by only about 500 votes.
Best Issues: Corporate responsibility is a big issue in this campaign and Nader is a well-known corporate watchdog. With Enron and Tyco scandals still in the news, his support of government regulation has won him enough support to run for President.
