Are you into history and adventure? If so, check out Indian Captive: The Story of Mary Jemison by Lois Lenski. This fiction story is based on a true story.

In the book, a young Mary Jemison is captured by French soldiers and their Indian allies during the French and Indian War. Two Seneca Indians later adopt Mary, and she tries to run away. Eventually, she is offered the chance to leave, but she cant decide. The Indians have been nice to her, and she feels close to them.
