Ban plastic bags?

Yes  No

More on the issue
Lawmakers in Oregon are trying to pass a law that would prohibit stores from giving customers plastic bags. The law would require shoppers to buy paper bags for five cents each or bring in their own reusable bags. Some U.S. cities—and even entire countries, like Italy—have passed similar laws. Supporters say that using fewer plastic bags will cut down on the amount of trash in landfills. Other people say they don't want to pay for grocery bags. They say plastic bags can be reused at home.
