Memorial Day is an American holiday. On Memorial Day, we honor Americans who have died in wars. Many people put flowers on the graves of veterans. There are also religious services and parades around the country. Memorial Day is celebrated annually on the last Monday in May.
Dinosaurs became extinct 65 million years ago. But their bones are still buried in the earth. Scientists called paleontologists dig up these bones and carefully clean off the dirt. They study the bones very closely. Paleontologists can learn a lot about dinosaurs from the bones. They can find out what the dinosaurs ate, how they moved, and more.
The phoenix is a mythological bird. The phoenix was said to live for at least 500 years. When it was close to the end of its life, the phoenix would build itself a nest and burst into flames. When the flames were gone, a new phoenix would rise from the ashes.

A spacecraft is sent to Mars. It enters Mars’ atmosphere at 16,700 miles per hour. A parachute opens and thrusters slow the craft as it descends. It lands at a speed of 1.2 miles per hour.
