When I went to the American Girl Doll Shop, the first thing I saw was people. They were all squished together, bustling. A lot of the girls were grinning, especially the girls with things to buy. When I bought my doll, I had the brightest smile. I didn't get tired again that day. Every other member of my family had a dull look on their faces. Only when we got home did they smile. I laughed and I knew that this would always be a memory.
