'69 And Gone
By Brad E.
age: 13
Kentucky
Like green fire
Oil temperatures blazing
As the hot sun beats its way through
The clear as crystal glass
The engine roaring
Louder than a jet airplane
The tires scream
More than a person in the war
My heart beats faster
Than I will ever go
And my muscles so tense
You could guess I’m here, but,
I’m gone.

Brad E on writing:
My '69 Impala inspired me. I like speed, cars, and big engines.
