Martin Luther King Jr was born on January 15, 1929. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He was known as the most effective fighter for black civil rights in the 50Ęs and 60Ęs. He made a big impact in our lives. He wanted the whites to get along with blacks and blacks get along with whites. He was assassinated on April, 4,1968. He also led the boycott [1955-1956] by Montgomery blacks against the segegrated city bus lines, and attained national prominence by advocating a publicity of passive resistance to segregation. He won the Nobel Peace Prize award.
