Helen Keller

Helen Keller was both blind and deaf. She was born on June 2, 1880. Later at 1/2 she became very sick. Then she became blind and deaf. She would scream, pinch, and scratch. Helen needed help. Helen's world was completely dark until she met Anne Sullivan. Anne helped Helen become more comfortable with her surroundings, Anne also taught Helen the finger alphabet.
Helen was helped. Sarah Fuller taught Helen to speak. And Helen learned how to feel people speak. But Helen wanted to go to college. Anne helped Helen to do this. She helped her by teaching her the braille alphabet. After helen went to college everyone wanted to meet her. Helen met many famous people. Although she died in 1968 people still remember her.
