Christmas in Mexico is started on December 16th.For nine nights before Christmas families go to each others homes for joyous parties.Their is usually a pinata.A pinata is a certain material that can hold many condiments.Children are blind folded and take turns hitting it.They do this until it breaks.Once it breaks the condements fall out.The condements contain fruits, small toys, candy, and small games. On January the 6th they exchange gifts. They also leave hay in their shoes. When the people come on their horses the horses eat the hay and the people put toys in the shoes. At midnight they finish the day with a little time at church.
