Abraham Lincoln was born in Kentucky in 1809. He grew up in Kentucky and Indian. For a living he was the 16th president for USA. He became famous by freeing the slaves. He made an impact by making people think about slaves and go against it. He became president by writing a very important document called the Emancipation Proclamation which stated that slaves should be free. Abraham Lincoln was shot in the head by an actor named John Wilkes Booth.
