150 years ago from 2014 the City of Orrville has been celebrating our country's Independence. The Orrville Fire Department raises money all year long to have fun festival events. These events include, a parade, a spectacular fireworks show, a carnival, and a huge softball tournament where girls come from all over the nation to play in. My favorite of these traditions is the parade and all the folklore that comes with it. If you would happen to drive through downtown Orrville on July 4 you should expect to see blankets, lawn chairs, and coolers. Everyone participates and knows not to move, touch, or steal any belongings that are not theirs. The parade is consists of handmade floats from local activities. Like the YMCA, Orr Pool, fire trucks, old cars, and so much more.
