Why there are rainbows

By: Caitlin C.
New Jersey, Age 10

Hundreds of years ago, a little boy always wanted to color something, but there was no such thing as crayons yet. Every night the little boy wished for a machine that colored red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. But one day the boy encountered a terrible sickness and several days later he died. Some how he was happy in heaven, only because he got his wish, crayons. So some days in heaven he draws a big arch that is red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple. And that is how rainbows came to be.
