The Sun Goddess and The Moon God

By: Kevin G.
New Jersey, Age 10

One day, the Sun Goddess flashed her rays and made it morning. The Moon God was still out. He was angry. He thought it was still time for him to be out. He told The Sun Goddess that it was still his time out. But the Sun Goddess didn't agree with him. She thought The Moon God was out long enough. They kept arguing for hours. Finally, they decided that arguing wasn't going to do anything. So one took one side of the World, and the other took the other side of the World. Since the Earth rotates, one half of the day, it is day, and one half of the day, it is night. That is how day and night became.
