Once upon a time there was a water god named Spirit. The days were coming close to winter. “It’s getting cold.” said a small bear.
Spirit wanted to know what the bears’ name is. “What’s your name?” Spirit asked the bear.
“My name is Dilo.” He said.
“What are you doing?” Spirit asked.
“I’m storing my food for the winter.” Dilo answered.
“What are you doing after you’re done?” Spirit asked Dilo.
“After I’m done I’m going to rest until it is summer.” Dilo answered.
“I think there should be a name for what I’m doing. Do you think that there should be a name for that, Spirit?” Dilo asked Spirit.
“Yes I do think that.” Spirit said.
“But, what should it be called?” Dilo asked Spirit.
“Hmmmmmm, I don’t know.” Spirit said.
“I got it!” Said Dilo.
“Do you think it should be called ‘Hibernation’?” Dilo asked Spirit.
“Yes I do think it should be called ‘Hibernation’.”
That is how Hibernation was made.
