How Well are Iraqi Children Treated?

By Olivia B.
Arkansas, Age 11

People who live in Iraq can be friendly. Even though the country is communist it can be fun and friendly. Children in Iraq are often sick and underprivileged. More often than not, if you were an Iraqi child, you would not go to school. If you heard about American children going to school, chances are, you would resent America. Children in Iraq often have to begin working at a young age. The work would be long and unpleasant, but you couldn't stop doing it if you wanted your family to survive. The pay for your family's work would be extremely meager. Hardly enough to feed a family of three. Aren't you glad you're not an Iraqi? Count your blessings for the freedom in America.
